swissdude
I need to design a banner that is 252?w x 144?h. I use PS - this is a massive size and my computer can't handle it - how should I go about this? Ask the printer if I can give it to them smaller and they will blow it up maybe? 0 Cupcakes
Blowing it up would degrade the quality. Find a computer that can handle it. *Edit: Or use Illustrator.
0 +Dick Montage Subscriber² Posted January 20, 2011 Subscriber² Share Posted January 20, 2011 Yup, unless it's photographic and requires pixel editting, use InDesign and/or Illustrator?

Make the file 120 or 150dpi (instead of 300), and 1/4 the real size. It's best to ask the printing facility for this. Or make the file 10 times smaller 25,2x14,4 and 300dpi. This is how me made billboards (in PS) when I worked at a huge marketing agency. As others said, if there is just text/vector images, then use Illustrator. 0 Mouldy Punk
Yeah, use vectors or lower the dpi. I'm guessing a poster that size can get away with being printed at a pretty low dpi anyway.
