Pesticides found in Coke, Pepsi

The bottles of Coke and Pepsi that we purchased for study from stores in the USA have no residue. While the residue is 37 times higher in Pepsi, it is 45 times higher in Coca-Cola in India?, declared Ms Narain and pointed out that the same brands in the USA and Europe contained no such chemicals.

Who to believe, the retailers(Coke and Pepsi) or the CSE.

Getting unsafe to drink most products these days, glad atmo alcohol is in the clear.

Anyway who would like to drink these things. All the soft drinks actually are toilet cleaners, since they clean spots better than the market available cleaners. There acidity is too high also, forget the pesticides. Today in the Indian Express there was an ad from Pepsi, that it didn't have any pesticides in its samples and all this was only rumours

Coke fires workers in West Bengal

IANS[ SATURDAY, AUGUST 09, 2003 03:45:04 PM ]KOLKATA: A Coca-Cola factory here has slowed down production and fired 40 workers even as a state government report found that sludge from the factory contained high levels of lead and cadmium.

Officials of the firm, however, said that the layoffs had nothing to do with the quality control report or an earlier survey by the Centre for Science and Environment, which found high levels of pesticides in Coke and Pepsi beverages.

All soft drinks are toxic...nothing that can strip the corosion off a car battery is good to ingest :s

You are correct, As a former car mechanic I can tell you the best way to clean those posts is coke and pepsi.
