DataMiner
It seems here latley i've been getting alot ICMP Echo Requests. I get like 15 in 1 minute sometimes more, this has been happening for about 3 weeks now and never noticed this before. They are all blocked so there is nothing to worry about but would like to know whats causing it. Is this a result of one of the many viruses from the past weeks, turning peoples computers into denial of service zombies? :D

Revolver
I also have noticed the same activity (using Outpost Firewall ver 1.0) and posted a query at their forum. I received one reply: 'other infected PCs pinging you.' :pc:
OPaul
It's just someone or something sending PING requests to you, it's nothing to worry about.
Frank
I believe these are after effects of the MSBLAST virus. This is nothing to worry about and over the next few weeks you should see the number of hits you get drop. --Frank

Don't be paranoid. ICMP = Harmless.
