How Big is your iTunes Collection?

Question

I recently broke off onto its own 1TB drive and looks like will be heading for even bigger by end of year!

How Big is your iTunes Collection?

What are your storage practices?

What are your backup practices?

iTunes library? Not everyone uses iTunes, probably the biggest piece of **** software out there.

Anyways, I have 25 GB of music, and about 5 GB of music videos.

From my iTunes: 6btP8.png

My storage system is basically a server in my house that I built it has two RAID5 arrays and I store my files on that. Then I run iTunes on my other computers to listen to the music via the built in Home Sharing feature (Great app!)

Well this question is kinda redundant. Someone who only gets their albums in say for example, FLAC form will have used more disk space as opposed to someone who gets their albums in 256 - 320kbps quality.

So your question should be, how many songs do you have in your music library?

My music library (FYI I use WMP12 and Media Centre, not iTunes) is:

3,344 Items (233 hours), 26.7GB

Backup practises: Don't really have enough space to back it up, I have my multimedia spanned across several drives so that if one fails, I only lose some of it.

Glad you said it first!!

Bigger than biggest even!!

I have 1, 8Gb mp3 player full of albums. Switch them around every so often.

Now, if you want to count cd's, I have over 6,000! Old fashioned there, I know.

Don't do mp3 as a rule, usually use audiograbber or EAC to rip my CD's, and use audacity for online audio. Also keep a backup of files, ever format the wrong external drive, or have one fail?

5012 songs, just under 30GB. Apparently I could listen to music non stop for 14 days without hearing the same song twice...well, not quite since there are a couple of duplicates thanks to compilation albums.

I have 1,658 songs, equating to 10.31GB. I only have MP3 files, but I'm aware FLAC and other file types offer superior quality and so on.

Did the OP ask whether or not you like iTunes? No. Save your bashing for another thread.

On topic: ~600gb
