Coolme
Well, while neowin was down I was busy chatting in #neowin @ EFnet :) and I was chatting about stopping spam and I want to share this with you to see if my idea would work out or not. Well, basically my idea was to have a e-mail filter that basically detects for repeated body message- The filter will check for things that are repeated in the body message, including any attachements to block picture spam (It'll also check for the size of the picture attached to a very percise unit and the format of the picture). If a certain percentage of of the body message (including attachement(s) ) are identical the filter automatically deletes the message, and the filter resets everyday. E.G. If I sent an e-mail to Mr.Copper (copper@webmaster.com) and I said in the the body "HI, how are u?", I cannot send ANY e-mail messages to ANYONE with an e-mail body of "HI, how are u?" until the next day. Please tell me what u think about it, thnax :) and tell me if such filter is possible to programme

Wouldn't you want the option to do this?
hav0c
The Spammer can include as many pages "normal" (generated) text as he want. So I don't think it will work in the first place. :p E.G. If I sent an e-mail to Mr.Copper (copper@webmaster.com) and I said in the the body "HI, how are u?", I cannot send ANY e-mail messages to ANYONE with an e-mail body of "HI, how are u?" until the next day. If I want to send another message to anyone with the same line(s) in it the filter will block it? Sounds horrible to me.

Coolme
How about this? Forget the filter stuff, You know when u register as a member at sites like Neowin, there is a picture at the bottom and u have to enter what the picture said? (The picture is different everytime) well, when u sent an e-mail message, u have to do the same. How about that?
