Looking for a game...

It's a sort of old game... Quake 2-ish.

You play an alien character on a charred world. The world is dotted with pools of water or something, and the graphics were really quite something back in its day. The game has a short name... I just forgot what it was...

Anyone able to help?

Not Turok. It's sort of an RPG...

Has some shooting I think, mostly RPG. It's all 3D, and you play an alien character. 3rd-person...

maybe i am wrong but Giants & homeworld were nowhere quakish and had much better graphics than quake2(meaning no disrespect :) )

and homeworld was not not even a shooter, it was a 3-D strategic game involving space crafts and sorts.
