Live Discussion: Apple's iPad 2 event

Recommended Posts

Couldn't find a thread so thought I'd create one.

Just over an hour left before the event gets underway any last minute predictions?

Sadly I don't think these two will be there.

But I will add MobileMe iCloud something or another. Not available, but to be released shortly.

I assume as much as this. And I could see iOS 5 preview being unveiled with a developer preview being launch today too.

Hopefully an update on Xcode 4 too.

Well Xcode4 should go "final" soon, the GM is pretty good (I've submitted 2 updates for my games built using it)

Appart from iOS 5 previewing I agree!

Also I think it would make sense to see some MobileMe love...

Damn I'd like to get it if it was a lot cheaper or even better free!

New features? Heck yes, I bet they'll come today, too!

Not the most unrealistic call, indeed. But I still doubt it.

I guess it will be a quiet update not connected to an event.

@OP:

Add 1h to your calculation and you're right! (Y)

That remains to be announced, but I expect them (Apple) to provide a live video feed. (Y)

I've heard that the iOS5 SDK is potentially going over to the PC. An off the ball rumor for sure but who knows...

I usually use Ars for Apple events (backed up with Engadget on a second tab)

I wonder why Gizmondo isn't doing a live blog for the event?

Coverage has started over at Engadget...

09:31AM We're inside and waiting to sit down! All the usual suspects are here -- and we've heard that Pixar's John Lasseter is somewhere in the mix as well.

The iPad will probably get a needed speed boost, facetime + a few tidbits, but nothing groundbreaking.
