John Veteran Posted September 2, 2003 Veteran Share Posted September 2, 2003 recording video uses a LOT of CPU power. playing video/games uses a LOT of CPU power. unless you have dual CPUs, it's going to be a bit slow i would think...
JoGro123
The best way to do it is use your video cards out (s-video or composite video) to either a computer with a video in or to a vcr. Then set your recording component to record the incoming video (you can do the same thing with audio). This way your game won't sacrifice much speed (if any) and you will get full screen video. John Veteran Posted September 2, 2003 Veteran Share Posted September 2, 2003 the only problem with that is you lose some quality. VHS doesn't have the resolution most of today's games run at. and you'll need one hell of a fast computer to encode 1024x768x16 or higher video in real time... but, it's a better idea than recording it on the same computer
Rusty.Metal
Well its really bad because the videos turn out choppy, iv seen some videos from other people and it looks smooth and fine... but who knows. thanks anyway
