Angel of Death
I?m on my school?s computer with limited access since I don?t have admin access. I?m pretty sure the TCP and UDP protocols are blocked since I cannot receive any streaming videos on sites like such launch.com or gamestop.com. How do I find out my port number to get around this? Or is there any other method? Thanks.
hav0c
Maybe you can download the movie first by right clicking it. If they have a (good) firewall, messing with portnumbers is not gonna help.
Angel of Death
It's streamin videos...so it's not really a direct link. The thing I want to do is to be able to download files off of WinMX (but since i can't get any TCP or UDP connections, it's really hard.). I can't install Kazaa due to limited access. John Veteran Posted September 3, 2003 Veteran Share Posted September 3, 2003 well i guarantee you they didn't block tcp, since that's what the internet runs on. they probably just blocked the port it streams to. depending on your media player, it will be in different places. but look around in the options for network settings or connection settings or something. change the port number there. Angel of Death
But I'm unsure what to change the port number to. How can I find out what # it is?
