we could not sign you in to msn messenger. it appears you are behind a firewall that does not allow direct connectio to the internet. we tried to sign you in through an http proxy, but your internet explorer proxy settings are either missing or incorrect. to adjust your ie proxy settings, click the ie tools menu, click internet options, click the connection tab. and then click lan settings.

it still can be a firewall issue, ISP issue, software issue. Its hard to diagnose without understanding your configuration. In your first message MSN complains about the proxy setting in IE. Is there a proxy setting in IE (Tools|Internet Options|Connections LAN settings)?

I would just wait and se... I have heard alot of people say that they have experienced problems logging in today... Maybe microsoft has blocked another version of msn messenger again? What version are you running?

there is u have to put addres port and yes or no for bypass proxy server for local addres wat i put?

So you are using a proxy server to access the internet. It very possible that the proxy server is prohibiting MSN messenger from communicating. Bypass proxy server setting might not help you at all. Contact the people who administer the proxy server and ask them if you can use MSN messenger....

proxy server sits inbetween you and the internet. It also masks your IP address so that the rest of the world doesn't see it just only the proxy server address. The proxy server handles the requests from your browser and then delivers the requested site to you once it receives it.
