Dude, how about checking out his other videos first and then make an ignorant comment..?

I would call it skepticism not really ignorance. I feel somewhat the same way. I watched a couple videos and the kid does seem to really understand what he is saying but I also do have a bit skepticism still.

Those having skepticism on what the kid is discussing, i would like to see said doubt substantiated. the LCDM model is intense.

Like I said, it does appear that he has an understanding of the words coming out of his mouth, but they are just words and words can be rehearsed and reverberated. You have to remember that this is YouTube we're talking about. Anyone without any skepticism whatsoever could equally be called gullible.

He can't be autistic, his communication is far advanced than kids with autism. Also he is very smart which is unusual and rarely happens with autistic kids.

you should go rent the movie Rainman.

I dont call myself a physicist, but have studied up alot on the LCDM ( Lambda Cold Dark Matter) model, and can say he's not just throwing out words, study what he's talking about first then watch the video again.

There are varying levels of autism, most result in reduced communication and interpersonal skills, some result in motor skill reduction. There are a few that result in making someone an autistic savant. http://www.autism.com/fam_autistic_savants.asp

The fact is we know next to nothing about the brain, and are essentially just guessing at everything when it comes to any kind of brain-related issue.

I think this kid can put Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory in his place  No offense to the kid, but I would love to see the folks from The Big Bang Theory to hire this kid and have an episode where he challenges Sheldon who is at the center of the universe first.

Yeah, he's about to start a PhD programme because he doesn't know what he's talking about. (Y)

Sounds like jealousy.

A lot of it.

He dresses like a bro

But unlike a bro he's a genius.

And unlike most autistic people I see on TV, he doesn't appear to be socially retarded.

He's awesome.

"Robust Associations of Massive Baryonic Objects" , baryons are things like protons and neutrons ....

i applaud this kid's interest in astrophysics , but he's missing the really important and interesting things near the end of that video

I'd give up my social abilities to be as clever as this kid, I'm told I wouldn't be sacrificing a lot :D
I would like to be autistic :)
Guys you should really know about autism before you start making throwaway comments like that.

It was more like a silly joke meaning that I didn?t believe he was autistic. Let?s see what it means :

autism : a mental condition, present from early childhood, characterized by great difficulty in communicating and forming relationships with other people and in using language and abstract concepts.

? a mental condition in which fantasy dominates over reality, as a symptom of schizophrenia and other disorders.

  • Great difficulty in communicating?
Not at all. The message is pretty clear if you have a basis in science (especially astrophysics).
  • Great difficulty forming relationships?
Well, the more you?re intelligent in high school, the least you?re meant to have friends. I could believe this one.
  • Great difficulty using language?
    No.
  • Great difficulty using abstract concepts?
He clearly demonstrated it. Hell, no!

i agree with that national geographic part... everything the kid said was pretty accessible, and the maths he was doing was very good but its around the level that is taught to people his age

but if he keeps at it and goes deeper into it, he will definitely get to do some pretty impressive things

If you can find me 5 12yr olds that can do what he does, I'll buy you a beer!

Don't know where you studied, but what he wrote on that window is hardly something I underwent as a 12 year old....
