memNOC
i think fastmail is the best out there.. 10mb and 40mb/month sounds like a pretty good deal to me.. considering its free, with no ads, and completely reliable.. ive been with them for the past year or so, and i can say their service is really remarkable for a free one.. they even got an email checker app, POP3 and even Hotmail retrieval, all for free.. plus IMAP access.. if you become a registered paying customer tho, besides the space and bandwidth increase, you get cool things like email aliases, email bouncing, virus checking, etc, etc.. pretty cheap too.. im thinking on getting their full 150mb/750mb-month deal.. for 40$/year its practically a steal, and you get EVERYTHING an email server should have: SMTP & POP3 access, mail forwarding, spam filters, aliases, etc, etc..... :woot: if youre lookin for the largest space quota for free, look no further than Fastmail.. i feel like an advertisement, but really, these guys are amazing.. and the interface and options is absolutely genius.. they even got CSS skins.. oh and they say they have ads in the web-interface, but mine doesnt show any, and never did.. must be cuz i registered a long time ago.. btw if anyone knows of a better free email service than this, please do tell.. kujemer
Myrealbox is the best one and its FREE. 10MB inbox, no ads or tag line, virus checking, no spam, POP3, SMTP, IMAP and its from NOVELL. The only problem is that you need an e-mail account from your isp, it won't let you sign up with a free e-mail account.

whipper25
jlmail.com its alright..you might wanna check it out..but they're just starting up so they do a lot of maintenance and it may be inaccessible at times...you probably might not want to use it as your default email as of now..but check it out
AndyD
I think most people who stick with their hotmail account, like myself, do it because it would be a major inconvenience to reroute everything to a new email account. Plus, I don't want to miss any emails of people that I have met a while ago or something. I would love to see a higher capacity free account. 2mb is ridiculous if you ask me. Hotmail = Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam. And it is slow as hell and full of useless ads not to mention all the security issues. It simply sucks.
