R17
okay...i installed XP PowerToys and I'm trying to get rid of the ALT-TAB replacement powertoy, but win xp doesn't seem to want to do it. I've tried to get rid of it using the 'add/remove programs' but that doesn't seem to work. Is there a way to get rid of this bulky add-on??? Thanks for your help. Toxikk Veteran Posted January 6, 2002 Veteran Share Posted January 6, 2002 control panels... add/remove programs. then go to the powertoys one and hit change. select modify. then from there just go to the alt+tab replacement and hit: This feature will not be availavle. logout or reboot. problem solved. R17
I've tried to get rid of it using the 'add/remove programs' but that doesn't seem to work. any other ways of removing (i.e. registry, ending processes)? James
R17
Alright...I have figured it out, thanks to a user review from betanews.com. To disable the new alt-tab thing, first kill the TaskSwitch.exe process in the Taskmanager, then edit your registry so that TaskSwitch.exe won't run on startup anymore.
