Any new PS2 games worth buying?

Recommended Posts

I can see myself getting bored of that game way too quickly. It's replay value lies in multiplayer and most of my gaming is done solo. Before anyone points at ESPN football, I love playing through a solo season with the Jets :)

You know, I just realized that I have three GC games that I've never even touched (RE: Remake, RE: Zero, Rogue Squadron) I should check those out :)

Altezza: I've always wanted to check out the Dynasty Warriors series. I may check that one out.

Munki: I meant like right now :) Any gaming I do in and after October will be PC gaming. It will be pure bliss when they start apperaing.

I'm enjoying NCAA Football 2004 that I bought about 3-4 weeks ago

I read the review over at GameSpot for ESPN Football. That's more my speed...the tv style presentation and what not.

Wolvereen: I'm definitely looking forward to that one too but again I'm looking to buy something now :p What's the release date on that game anyway?

Nascar Thunder 2004 released Sept. 16th.

Looks yummy.? And ESPN Football sucks horribly :\

The new one? Both IGN and Gamespot gave a score of 9.3. Are you making judgments from last year's version? I could care less about stats and how realistic the game may be. I remember Sega Football on the Dreamcast...I loved it:)) If it is anything like that, then I'll have a hard time finding a reason not to like ESPN Football.

Haven't bought a game in a while. Was thinking of picking up ESPN Football and another game but not sure what else is good. Any recommendations?

I picked up ESPN Football on Wednesday and I gotta say I love it. It's the best version of the NFL 2K series I've played so far.

If you ever liked any of the NFL 2K series games or watching NFL on ESPN you should pick it up... NOW!

Post your thoughts on it if you get it...

I used to do all my gaming solo. Then I moved into a dorm and realized how much more fun it is to be playing with others, and it doesn't even have to be multiplayer. I had a blast playing Lord of the Rings: Two Towers on PS2 with friends rooting and cheering.

Anyway, it depends on what kind of games you enjoy. Winning Eleven 7 is big in Asia and Europe. NBA Street Vol 2, Soul Calibur 2 are both good. Dynasty Warriors 4 is excellent in multiplayer, get boring pretty fast in single player.

Thanks for the lists guys. I'll definitely check out some of them :)

Silent Hill 3 looks even creepier than the other two but I'm not sure if want to play a game and experience another depressing ending heh.

As much as i like the simpsons and tv in general. I cannot stand most games that revolve around tv or movies they are almost always crap. Except on the super nes, the one where you play in barts nightmnares is awesome.
