Ironman273
I just got a wirelss PC Card and a wireless router. I have a docking cradle for my laptop and was wondering how I could set it up so the wireless PC Card would not function when docked, since I have it hardwired to the network from the cradle. The laptop is a Toshiba, if that makes a difference... TIA.

Ironman273
Well, taking it out would be the other option, but I wouldn't want to keep doing that every time I want to undock the laptop. Isn't there some sort of Docking Profiles that can be set up?
Basho1
Another thing you can do is adjust the automatic metric of the network connection so that Windows Xp will default to that connection when present. So if you plugin to the network it will automatically use that connection and when you disconnect it will just use wireless. That's how I do it. This first link has the explanation of Automatic metric http://www.ntfaq.com/Articles/Index.cfm?Ar...ArticleID=27315 This second one is how to do it. http://www.ntfaq.com/Articles/Index.cfm?Ar...ArticleID=27316
