Rob2687
My friend recently got a Dlink router (this one) and he wants to setup 2 computers to share a dsl connection... one pc is an old K6 running 98 (not SE) and the other is a P4 2.4ghz with XP Pro the modem is plugged into the WAN port and the 2 pcs plugged into ports 1 and 2 but when ever i try to renew ip configs it does not work..it just gives me a "cannot find DHCP host" or something in xp but in 98 it freezes at the winipcfg screen. i've tried entering the settings manually but still nothing.. did i miss something or what? PCKing
Enable DHCP on the router Type in 192.168.1.1 in your browser to config... if that doesnt work try 192.168.0.
liar2
d-link uses 192.168.0.1. so type that in and enable DHCP. if that doesn't work, just tweak with the settings a bit, and it should work.
