Trillian 5 slow login

Question

I upgraded to Trillian 5 on my Laptop and Desktop as i bought a license a while ago. It works great, except when it first loads, it hangs for about a minute before my contact list shows up and it connects. I was wondering if anyone know why that was, it happened in beta also and it does on my two pc's.

did you do a clean install of Trillian 5 or did you over write from a previous build?

If you have a lot of IM/Fb/twitter accounts, then it is not usual for it to take a while to login and load all of those connections as well as sync to the server.

No offense, disabling the online backup kind of screws up the point of buying Pro. There's no real privacy issues with it, Trillian has been around for more than a decade.

At any rate, I'd just completely delete it, appdata folder included, and then reinstall it.

It's always best to do a clean install because simply over writing previous files will cause you all kinds of problems.

That's really strange. Have you tried asking over at the trillian message boards? They could possibly help you better.

I sent a ticket to trillian support, ill see what they say. Its happening on multiple PC's so it must be some kind of bug.
