rghome
I am considering disabling all Active-X downloads, even for signed controls. This is based on the following assumptions: 1) A active-X control is a exe that can basically do anything it wants on your computer. 2) Just because someone signs a control, doesn't mean that they are trustworthy. 3) Signed active-X controls are, by default, downloaded and executed on your computer without any verification. Comments appreciated.
kizzaaa
I'm not completely skilled when it comes to this area of computing, however I personally allow some ActiveX scripts. I have filtered my Internet Security settings to disable more types of scripts than the default settings. I still leave the ActiveX scripts on because MSN Hotmail uses them. (Well on my computer it does :s) :)
