NtOrZor
Hey trek fans, are you guys watching the Enterprise premeire episode? It seems like they sped up the theme song!! What do you guys think? I personally do not like the change. Change it back!! It had such an epic feel before...now it's just cheesy!!

mAcOdIn Veteran Posted September 11, 2003 Veteran Share Posted September 11, 2003 They didn't speed it up but they added a more upbeat bass line to it. It sucks now. It sounds like someone should square dance to it or something. The episode itself is OK. I was never a huge fan of the show so it's not boring but not any better than last season. OPaul
Yea they added an extra beat in the background of the music, personally I prefer the alternative opening theme music. It's basically a hyped up version of the TNG music, you can get it of Kazaa. The episode itself was pretty cool, what with the new species and such. And that TuPol breast action was great. unimatrixzer0
Did TOS or TNG ever encounter the Xindi? OR is Enterprise the first time the Xindi were invented up?

OPaul
i think the xindi were invented for "enterprise"....funny how they mysteriously disappeared by the time the original series took place Well the time line doesn't follow at all, if it did they would be fighting the Romulans right now. DsnBehind
Unless there are more shirtless guys, I don't want to watch it. MwaHaHa. i think the xindi were invented for "enterprise"....funny how they mysteriously disappeared by the time the original series took place It's also funny how the Klingons are evolved during Enterprise, de-evolve during TOS, then re-evolve for TNG. And, it's also funny how, out of five Star Trek series, three of them are on a ship called Enterprise. Isn't all of that funny? Maybe it's just me... aem4162
Well the time line doesn't follow at all, if it did they would be fighting the Romulans right now. true...why couldn't the show have had a war with the romulans instead of inventing another race? berman isn't thinking straight at all....he seems to want to rewrite st history to put as much of his stuff into it as possible
matt74441
I don't really care where the show goes, its a nice break from all the other crap on network television.
kev64
Well the time line doesn't follow at all, if it did they would be fighting the Romulans right now. No, it's the Klingons they should be fighting next.
mAcOdIn Veteran Posted September 11, 2003 Veteran Share Posted September 11, 2003 A war with the Romulans when they only have one warp ship wouldn't be very exciting or feasiable. We saw on the last episode of last season that they were building more. Let them build up a fleet first and then if there's no Romulan war ya'll can complain. And even then they don't have to cover it in the series because it could happen right as the series ends or what have you. I think the whole Klingon thing is silly though. The original Klingons from TOS were like that because of the level of special effects of the time and the original shows budget. Surely you don't want Enterprise, which is being made in 2003, to have 1960's special effects just to stay true to the original series do you? And as for the whole Xindi thing, assuming the humans really do destroy them later on then it makes sense why there not in TOS, or ST:TNG.

Joel
Actually, a book once explained it as the Imperial Race (the knobby heads).

Except Mr. Wolf said theres a reason why the klingons of TNG/DS9 look different from TOS in that DS9 ep where they go back in time with the orb thingy. Annoyed me at first why they didn't give the klingons their original look. I can understand Enterprise looking decads ahead of TOS's Enterprise, but is it asking to much to leave the klingons alone? =/
parrots
The intro, yes, sucks even more now. The episode was ok, but not great. I think the whole "can't sleep" thing just didn't belong in the episode, and actually took away from it. I think they went a bit too far with the "fans wanting to see non humanoid species" things. I've never seen that many non-humanoid species in one Star Trek series! lol. I really wish the series would get better, I miss TNG, it's the last good one (prolly cause G.R. died at the end of it). As for the Klingons, it was admitted in DS9 to not be a special effects thing. In Trials and Tribble-Ations Dax and the group asks Worf what happened to the Klingons on the station, since they looked nothing like modern ones. He didn't give a reply. So, it isn't just special effects, at least it isn't viewed that way within the Star Trek plots.
OPaul
And, it's also funny how, out of five Star Trek series, three of them are on a ship called Enterprise.Yes, Enterprise, Enterprise B (I think) and Enterprise D.No, it's the Klingon's they should be fighting next. No, actually the first Federation-Romulan war began in 2137 and the first Federation-Klingon war began in 2221. Currently it's about 2200 in Enterprise. Except Mr. Wolf said theres a reason why the klingons of TNG/DS9 look different from TOS in that DS9 ep where they go back in time with the orb thingy. Annoyed me at first why they didn't give the klingons their original look.
