343 Industries brings 'Halo Online' to Russia

'Halo Online' is a free-to-play version of Halo that was created for the PC and is is powered by a modified version of the Halo 3 engine. While this free multiplayer game sounds intriguing, unfortunately it is only available to those in Russia participating in the closed beta.

Today, 343 Industries has announced that the free multiplayer online game has been launched exclusively in Russia in a closed beta test. While details are scarce, Halo Online was created specifically for the PC with 343 Industries having no plans to bring the title to the Xbox One. Lastly, the game will remain an exclusive to Russia for the time being with no immediate plans to expand outside of the country. 343 Industries does not have a timeline or an official release date planned for the game.

While a majority of the world won't get to experience Halo Online, luckily for the us, we will soon be able to experience Halo 5 which is expected to make its debut by the end of 2015.
