A successor to the Huawei Watch could debut at MWC 2017

Huawei introduced its first Android Wear wearable, the Huawei Watch, at Mobile World Congress 2015. With Android Wear options looking thin at the moment, it looks like the firm could introduce a follow-up at Mobile World Congress 2017.

The original Huawei Watch was a beautiful timepiece that offered excellent styling and even offered the then unique feature of an internal speaker. While details are scarce, it looks like the new watch will offer a new design and will also feature cellular connectivity. The timepiece will most likely also come with Google's latest Android Wear 2.0, which is reportedly being launched on February 9. To coincide with the launch of Android Wear 2.0, LG is rumored to be releasing two new watches, the Watch Sport and Watch Style.

Mobile World Congress 2017 will take place in Barcelona and will start on February 27. Stay tuned for our coverage from the event.
