As usual, Acer had plenty of gaming hardware to show off at its next@acer event today. The firm showed off new Windows 10 PCs from both its premium Predator lineup and its more casual Nitro lineup.
The flagship of the bunch if the new Predator Orion 5000, packing up to an Intel Core i9-9900K, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 graphics, and up to 64GB RAM. It also supports Ethernet connectivity at up to 2.5 gigabits.
“The Predator Orion 5000 series is designed for gamers who prefer to max out their settings in and potentially dive into streaming with little-to-no impact on performance,” said Jeff Lee, General Manager, Stationary Computing, IT Product Business, Acer Inc. “With the latest gaming technologies like a GeForce RTX GPU and overclockable 9th Gen Intel Core i9-9900K Processor, the new Orion 5000 packs enough power to satisfy even the most demanding gamers.”
There's also a 43-inch gaming monitor, the CG437K P. The 4K monitor has a 144Hz refresh rate, and uses Acer's AdaptiveSync feature.
There are also a whole bunch of peripherals. The Predator M-Utility Backpack allows you to store a big 17-inch gaming laptop, and it's water-repellant. The Cestur 330 gaming mouse has a new Pixart 3335 sensor to make it more responsive. The Aethon 300 gaming keyboard has Cherry switches, teal blue backlighting, and anti-ghosting.
The Predator Orion 5000 will arrive in North America in September starting at $1,199, EMEA in June starting at €1,999, and China in May starting at ¥15,999. The CG437K P monitor is coming to North America in September starting at $1,299, EMEA in September starting at €1,499, and China in August starting at ¥9,999. The M0Utility Backpack is coming to North America in June for $179.99, EMEA in June for €179, and China in October for ¥1,499.
The Cestus 330 mouse is coming to North America in June for $69.99, EMEA in June for €179, and China in October for ¥499. The Aethon 300 keyboard will be in North America in June for $119.99, EMEA in June for €149, and China in October for ¥999. Finally, the Galea 311 headset will be in North America in June for $99.99, EMEA in June for €69, and China in October for ¥339.
And then there are the laptops, including the Predator Helios 700 and Predator Helios 300. The Helios 700 has a HyperDrift keyboard, which slides forward as seen in the image above. This allows for better cooling of the internals.
It also packs a 17.3-inch 1080p display, up to a ninth-generation Intel Core i9 processor, and Nvidia's GeForce RTX 2080 graphics.
The Predator Helios 300 is a clamshell laptop, offering either a 15.6- or 17.3-inch 1080p screen. It also comes with up to a ninth-gen Core i9, along with either RTX or GTX graphics.

The Predator Helios 700 will arrive in North America in April starting at $2,699.99, EMEA in July starting at €2,699, and China in June starting at ¥19,999. The Helios 300 will show up in North America in April starting at $1,199, EMEA in June starting at €1,499, and China in May starting at ¥11,999.
Finally, Acer introduced new Nitro 7 and Nitro 5 laptops, which are aimed more at casual gamers than the Predator line. The new Nitro 7 is just 19.9mm thin, with a 15.6-inch 1080p screen that has a 144Hz refresh rate. The Nitro 5 is available in both 15.6- and 17.3-inch flavors.
Both PCs are offered with either Intel eighth- or ninth-generation processors, and Nvidia GeForce GTX graphics.

The Nitro 7 is available in North America now starting at $999.99, and it's coming to EMEA in June starting at €1,199 and China in May starting at ¥6,499. The Nitro 5 will be available in North America this month starting at $799.99, EMEA in May starting at €999, and China in May starting at ¥5,999.
