Christmas has come early for those of us who use Skype for our international calls. Acer UK is running a worldwide* promotion on their Facebook page called the “Hello?” program which is giving away free one month "Unlimited World" subscriptions.
The steps and process is fairly simple:
- Navigate to this portion of Acer UK's Facebook page.
- Enter your first and last name in the specified textboxes
- Enter your email address in the relevant textbox
- Answer the anti-spam puzzle and check the checkboxes
- Submit!
It does takes some time for the voucher to be sent, however, in some cases up to nine hours before users are receiving the email. The other caveat is that it requires the user to sign up for Acer UK's newsletter, but that's not a bad exchange for what you get and you can always opt out after the first piece of mail they send.
If you're not interested in activating it just yet, then you don't have to. The voucher does not have to be activated until the 1st of March 2015, so there is plenty of time to leave it in your inbox until you would actually need it.
* Unfortunately worldwide doesn't always mean worldwide. In this case it's limited to about 60 countries or so. You can see if your country is eligible on the terms and conditions.
