Acer refreshes its Predator Helios 300, Nitro 7, Nitro 5, and Aspire 7 laptops with GTX 16xx

A couple of weeks ago, Acer held its next@acer event, unveiling a wide range of new PCs. You may have noticed that the specs for the new gaming laptops include Intel's ninth-generation processors, which weren't announced yet. Intel made the new chips official today, and Nvidia announced the GeForce GTX 1650.

Acer announced today that the Predator Helios 300, Nitro 7, Nitro 5, and Aspire 7 will all max out at an Intel Core i7-9750H CPU. The former three of those will offer an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU, although the Predator Helios 300 will still have RTX options, up to an RTX 2070 with Max-Q. The Aspire 7, being that it's not a gaming PC, will max out at a GTX 1650.

“Acer is excited to be among the first-to-market with the GeForce GTX 16-series GPUs,” said James Lin, General Manager, Notebooks, IT Product Business, Acer Inc. “Gamers, prosumers, and content creators will be able to take advantage of the breakthrough graphics performance the next-gen GeForce GPUs bring.”

All of these PCs were announced at the Brooklyn event a couple of weeks ago, so there's not much else to say. Acer says that pricing and availability will vary by region.
