Acer's new 32-inch monitor offers 4K resolution, 'ZeroFrame' design with ultra-thin bezels

Acer has unveiled the latest addition of its line-up of monitors, and it certainly makes an impression. The BM320 features a 32-inch panel with 4K/Ultra HD (3840x2160px) resolution, promising "professional-grade color accuracy and amazing detail".

According to Microsoft, which posted details of the monitor today on its Windows Blog, it's intended primarily for photographers, graphics designers and video editors - rather than gamers, for example - and offers support for 100% of the Adobe RGB color gamut, as well as 100% of the Rec. 709 color gamut and 90% of DCI-P3.

Its other features include:

  • Uniformity Compensation to help reduce brightness and color fluctuations across the screen

  • Supports 10-bit color depth, which provides 64 times more color depth over conventional 8-bit monitors, and every unit is factory pre-tuned and tested to ensure a Delta E

  • Acer’s ErgoStand provides for effortless tilt, swivel, pivot and height adjustments to ensure users find the perfect viewing position every time

But clearly, what really makes this large desktop monitor stand out is its 'ZeroFrame' design, with ultra-thin bezels that push the display almost to the edge. Two or three of these monitors side-by-side would no doubt be a welcome addition to the desks of many of our readers.

Sadly, there's no information yet on pricing or availability of the BM320 - but if you've already got your eyes locked onto its stylish design, you'd better start saving those pennies now.
