COVID-19 has officially been declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organization. As expected, due to the exponential growth rate of the virus, many schools, colleges, universities, and workplaces have been closed down across the world as a precautionary measure. Particularly for students and faculty members, most universities have either suspended the semester until further notice or will continue the remainder of lectures virtually.
Considering the status quo, Adobe has announced that it will be extending access to Adobe Creative Cloud desktop applications to aid this distance/virtual learning. This means that students and educators at Adobe's higher education and K-12 partner institutions worldwide will now have the ability to request off-campus/at-home login access to the Creative Cloud Suite.
The extended access will be free of cost, and will be granted through May 31, 2020, or until the students return to campus, depending on whichever is sooner. To be eligible for it, the institution must be a current Adobe customer with an active Device, Shared Device License, or Serial Number plan. And this home-access will apply to Adobe ID, Federated ID or Enterprise ID users in the Adobe Admin Console.
The firm wrote in its announcement that distance learning is a "new paradigm" and that it aims to aid the community in these testing times:

To request access, Adobe requires IT administrators at the partner institution to complete a form. More details can be found on this webpage.
