Age of Empires: Castle Siege will debut on Android this March

Age of Empires: Castle Siege is a cross-platform real-time strategy game that allows players to create their empires and to make alliances or to battle among them. The players can manage their castles to produce resources and train battle units that can be fully controlled when on the battlefield.

The game is already available for Windows 10, Windows 8.1, and iOS devices and is already enjoyed 4.7 million players worldwide, according to Microsoft. Despite its success, an Android version of the game isn't yet available. But that is about to change this March, as stated by Microsoft in a press release this week.

The availability of the game across all main platforms was possible due to Smoking Gun Interactive's cross-platform engine, as explained in the press release:

"Age of Empires: Castle Siege was developed in Smoking Guns’ proprietary cross platform engine, so no matter what platform you play on, your data is always saved to the cloud, making it easy to pick up and play Castle Siege across Windows platforms, iOS and soon Android devices."

Finally, Microsoft has hinted at exciting announcements to come to the game, but didn't provide any timeframe for them. You can download Age of Empires: Castle Siege for your Windows 10 or iOS device right now.
