Alice Madness Returns: The Complete Collection coming to PC

Alice Madness Returns is due out for the PC and other consoles on June 14 but PC gamers who haven't had the chance to play the first game in the series will be able to play both in the same package. Electronic Arts announced today plans to release Alice Madness Returns: The Complete Collection that will only be available  for sale via EA's online store.

The collection will have not only the new third person action game developed by American McGee and his team at developer Spicy Horse but also the original 2000 PC game American McGee's Alice. The original game, developed by the now defunct Rogue Entertainment, will be "re-mastered" for its appearance in The Complete Collection but specific details have yet to be announced. The collection will be sold for $49.99.

The Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions of Alice: Madness Returns will also feature another pre-order bonus if you buy the game via EA's store, GameStop or Amazon.com. Gamers will get access to download the game's soundtrack with nine tracks, including a new song from former Nine Inch Nails member Chris Vrenna.

For those of you who might not be aware of the original 2000 game, American McGee's Alice is basically McGee's remake of the original Lewis Carroll story Alice in Wonderland but told in a more adult and darker format. It used the Quake 3 Engine as its graphical basis. Alice: Madness Returns is a sequel to the original game, set 11 years later as an older Alice return to Wonderland that has been "transformed into a sinister nightmare."
