Amazon's Deal of the Day discounts DJI Osmo Pocket by 50%

The DJI Osmo Pocket became available to buy in November 2018 for $349,95, which is still quite pricey for a 4K handheld camera, but it offers a lot more that justifies its price. Today it is being discounted by $200 in Amazon's Deal of the Day in the U.S., which means you can now get it for as little as $199 (list price $399).

Here are some of the highlights for the DJI Osmo Pocket:

  • 3-Axis Gimbal stabilizer with integrated Camera
  • 12 MP 1/2.3” CMOS 4K Video
  • Attachable to Android, iPhone
  • 1.45 x 1.13 x 4.76 inches
  • 4.1 ounces

The DJI Osmo Pocket offers quite a lot of power in a very minuscule package. The device measures in at 121.9×36.9×28.6 mm and only weighs 116 grams (imperial specs above). It makes use of a 1/2.3” CMOS sensor that can shoot 4K footage at 24p, 25p, 30p, 48p, 50p, and 60p, with a maximum bitrate of 100 Mbps. The gimbal has an operating time of two hours and 20 minutes and can charge from zero to full in just 73 minutes.

The gimbal offers a small screen so you can see what is being captured, and also doubles as an interface to change different settings on the device. Despite it being small, it packs quite a bit when it comes to its software, including DJI's Active Track system will allow users to choose a subject and have the gimbal automatically track it. For those that want a bit more from the images and videos they are shooting, the Osmo Pocket can shoot in RAW and also "D-Cinelike" which looks to be a flat picture profile that can be used to color grade.

You can also opt to buy the bundle which includes the charge case for an extra $65.15 bringing the total price to $264.15, which is still cheaper than buying it separately for $99.
