Advanced Micro Devices confirmed the upcoming Opteron 2.0GHz processor release by publishing the Composite Theoretical Performance (CTP) calculations for AMD Opteron microprocessors, including x40, x42, x44 and x46 chips with 1.40, 1.60, 1.80 and 2.0GHz core-clocks respectively.
The CTP calculations are stated in Millions of Theoretical Operations Per Second (MTOPS) and are based upon a formula in the United States Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations 15 CFR 774 (Advisory Note 4 for Category 4).
