With several new blockbuster games releasing one after the other in the next couple of weeks, AMD has delivered optimizations for Fallout 76, Battlefield V, and Hitman 2 with today's Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.11.1 driver.
Those picking up EA's new Battlefield V will see a performance boost of up to 8% when playing the game with a Vega 64 graphics card using this driver. A frame rate boost of up to 9% awaits RX 580 owners. The driver lands with great timing as well, as while the Standard Edition of the World War II shooter is slated to launch on November 20, Origin Access and Premier subscribers can start playing right now.
Meanwhile, Hitman 2 launches on November 13, and RX 580 graphics cards running the new driver will perform up to 3% faster.
There aren't any benchmark stats for Fallout 76 optimizations that this driver is also carrying, but it's a good idea to have it installed for anyone planning to pick the Bethesda game up once it launches on November 14.
All of the above performance improvement data is from AMD comparing numbers between last month's 18.10.2 driver and today's 18.11.1 driver. Also, the extra boost in performance should arrive for the entire GCN card line-up even though other models aren't explicitly mentioned in the release notes.

- When using Radeon Overlay on system configurations with the latest Windows®10 October 2018 Update some users may experience intermittent instability or game crashes.
- Assassin’s Creed™: Origins may experience an application crash while launching or playing the game in Windows®7.
- Wolfenstein™ II: The New Colossus may experience corruption when viewing lava or water.
- Strange Brigade™ may experience intermittent application crashes when using DirectX®12 API.
Known Issues
- Radeon Overlay may not appear when toggled on systems with multiple displays when Battlefield™ V is running.
- Some systems running multiple displays may experience mouse lag when at least one display is enabled but powered off.
- Radeon RX Vega Series graphics products may experience elevated memory clocks during system idle.
- This driver does not support Microsoft PIX. Microsoft PIX users please refer to AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.9.3
AMD also announced the world's first 7nm GPU recently. Although, it may be a while before any gaming variants show up since the new Radeon Instinct cards are aimed at data centers.
The Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.11.1 driver suite downloads are available through the links listed in its official release notes over here. The update can also be initiated via the company's Radeon Settings app on Windows.
