It's Thursday again and that means Epic has refreshed its freebie slot with a new game. Coming in as a replacement for last week's Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse is a copy of Among the Sleep - Enhanced Edition.
Among The Sleep offers a first-person horror experience from the perspective of a two year old child. The story has you taking the role after waking up in the middle of the night to investigate some mysterious sounds. The developer promises a combat-free experience that relies on the atmosphere and exploration for the horror elements.
As this is the Enhanced Edition, it features upgraded visuals over the original 2014 version, as well as a new level to show off behind the scenes content, new dialog, improved puzzles and gameplay elements, plus goodies like a digital art book and OST.
While the giveaway is for the Windows and macOS versions on the Epic Games Store, a Linux version is an option on Steam. Here are the quite modest minimum requirements for the title:
- OS: Windows XP SP2 or higher
- Processor: Dual core 2.4GHz
- Memory: 2048 MB
- Storage: 2 GB
- Direct X: 9.0
- Graphics: Video card with 512MB of VRAM
Among the Sleep - Enhanced Edition is yours to claim on the Epic Games Store until October 28. To replace it, Epic is bringing in DARQ: Complete Edition on the same date.
