Android 6.0 Marshmallow rollout expected to begin next month for LG G3

Last year, the LG G3 became the very first device in the world to get an official upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop, starting in Poland, before making its way to other markets.

For this year's release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, LG's 2015 flagship, the G4, became the first non-Nexus device to get the latest OS update - but it looks like its rollout to the G3 will again begin in Poland in just a few weeks' time.

Polish site Tablety reports that the LG G3 will be upgraded to Marshmallow there from around December 16-18, with other markets following in subsequent weeks. LG Poland's Jaroslaw Bukowski acknowledged that the update is in the works, but stopped short of confirming the rumored release date.
