Android's March security update now available for Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge on Sprint

Two weeks after T-Mobile released the latest round of Android security patches for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, Sprint has now made them available for the two high-end Samsung handsets.

Google originally released the March update just under a month ago, bringing fixes for dozens of vulnerabilities and other security issues in the Android OS. Last week, Sprint rolled out those patches for the Galaxy Note4, and it's not clear why it's taken longer to release them for the S7 and S7 edge, given T-Mo's rollout a fortnight ago.

Whatever the reason, the March security update - which is around 50MB in size - is now making its way to both devices on Sprint, bumping up the Galaxy S7's build number to G930PVPS4BQC1, and that of the S7 edge to G935PVPS4BQC1.

Google is expected to announce details of the April update in the next few days.
