Anonymous is spreading its own particular messages of freedom against the Communist government of China this week. News.com reports that the hacker group has been launching cyber attacks on over 500 websites in that country. The sites have been defaced as a result of Anonymous' actions, with messages denouncing the Chinese leadership.
The message posted by Anonymous includes this phrase:
Dear Chinese government, you are not infallible, today websites are hacked, tomorrow it will be your vile regime that will fall. So expect us because we do not forgive, never. What you are doing today to your Great People, tomorrow will be inflicted to you. With no mercy.
The websites affected by the cyber attacks also have a music track running in the background, playing Baba O'Riley from The Who. Anonymous posted up a list of all the sites it attacked in China on the Pastebin site. These attacks started happening after a Twitter message from the Anonymous China page encouraged hackers from that country and all over the world " ... to be part of Anonymous China, fighting for justice!"
Ironically, the Chinese government is highly suspected of funding its own hacker teams that try to attack and steal information from US government and business servers.
