Apple announces WWDC 2019 for June 3 - 7

Apple today announced the dates of WWDC 2019, its next developer conference. The page uses the line, "Write code. Blow minds." It will be held June 3 - 7 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California. The price for the five-day event is $1,599, and while that might sound expensive, it's far less expensive than the three-day developer events from Microsoft and Google.

As usual, we can expect to see what's next on the software side of things from Apple. That means that iOS 13 will be officially unveiled, along with macOS 10.15, watchOS 6, and tvOS 13. The first developer previews for each will be released following the opening day keynote.

As far as hardware goes, that could go either way. Developer conferences tend to focus on software, but it's not unheard of for Apple to unveil new or refreshed devices at WWDC. Perhaps we might get a look at the new Mac Pro that Apple talked about making almost two years ago when it apologized for the existing model.
