Apple Incorporated plans to start selling its iPhone (mobile phone, mp3 player & camera) in June while Cisco Systems Incorporated's iPhone (VoIP phone) is already on sale. The two companies agreed to share the iPhone name for their separate devices in February, averting a potential court case. "Ways in which the companies' products can work together are now being investigated by both technical teams," said Cisco Chief Development Officer Charlie Giancarlo. Cisco wants the Apple iPhone to work with its corporate phone systems – allowing users to get the same services, such as instant messaging and teleconferencing, on their Cisco desk phones and Apple iPhones. Apple predicts it will sell 10 million iPhones next year. The company wouldn't comment beyond what it said in a joint statement issued with Cisco in February. In that statement, the companies said they would "explore opportunities for interoperability."
