Apple store down globally, updated iMacs and Mac Pros expected

Apple's online retail store has gone offline globally, leading many to expect a range of new products.

Apple typically updates their store on a Tuesday and Apple expert, John Gruber, predicts a new 27" Cinema display, speed-bumped iMacs and new Mac Pros. Gruber also hints at the possibility of a new Magic Trackpad for desktop Macs. The new trackpad leaked in early June and passed FCC approval last week.

Apple last updated its Mac Pro line on March 3, 2009. The iMac line was last updated in October 2009 to include a 27" option. Apple released a 24" LED Cinema Display in October 2008 and is expected to announce a 27" version today. We're expecting the store to come back online at 8:30AM New York time (1:30pm London) so stay tuned for updates.
