Apple TV+ coming on November 1 for just $4.99 per month for the whole family

Today, at its “By Innovation Only” event, Apple has revealed that Apple TV+ will be available from November 1, in over 100 countries, for just $4.99 per month for a family plan. Aside from the launch date and pricing for the service, Apple revealed that new Apple Originals would be launching on the platform every month to keep subscribers engaged.

While the price of Apple TV+ is pretty good, the company also said that those buying an iPhone, an iPad, a Mac, or an Apple TV from today will get a year of Apple TV+ at no cost. This will no doubt help Apple get people onto its service initially to create some buzz around its programming so that other customers find their way onto the platform too.

During the event, Apple gave viewers a snippet of the type of content they can expect from the Apple Originals line-up by playing a trailer for See, starring Jason Momoa, which is about a society where everyone is blind until twins are born with sight – the society then attempt to persecute them for being able to see.

Apple has ordered more than 25 series so far and 24 of those have titles. It has launched trailers for Dickinson, For all Mankind, and The Morning Show, each amassing over 100 million views. Those shows will be among the first launched when the service arrives in November.
