Apple Watch reportedly going on sale in March

It’s been four months since Apple unveiled its new wearable device, and yet not only has it still not gone on sale, but there is still no official word on when exactly it will be available to buy.

Apple continues to stick with its vague “early 2015” launch window, although a company executive said that the Apple Watch would launch in the “spring”, hinting that it may be as late as Q2 before it hits stores. But new information has now emerged from multiple sources that have spoken with 9to5Mac.

They claim that Apple Stores in the US will each select one or two staff to be sent to the company’s offices in California and Texas for training and familiarization on the Watch, between February 9 and 16. These staff will then train their colleagues in-store, a little closer to the actual launch.

The report adds that Apple's current plan is for the Watch to go on sale in March, but notes that this is still subject to change. Unsurprisingly, the company is said to have been continuing its development work on the device since its announcement, with tweaks to its OS, and improvements to its battery and charging performance. Apple CEO Tim Cook said that he expected users would have to charge the Watch every day.

Pricing for the Apple Watch will start at $349, but models featuring precious metals are expected to cost a lot more.
