Assassin's Creed: Revelations beta will be timed exclusive on PSN

Ubisoft has announced today that the multiplayer beta for Assassin’s Creed: Revelations will be a timed exclusive on the PlayStation Network. Members of the Ubisoft Uplay service, and PlayStation Plus members will receive exclusive access to the PlayStation 3 beta, from September 3rd until September 9th. As XboxGameZone contributor EscoBlades reports, nine characters are contained within the beta, and are as follows:

  • The Sentinel
  • The Vanguard
  • The Guardian
  • The Vizier
  • The Thespian
  • The Deacon
  • The Bombardier
  • The Trickster
  • The Champion

The beta also contains three maps, which are as follows:

  • Antioch
  • Constantinople
  • Knight’s Hospital

In addition, there are four playable modes within the beta. These modes consist of Wanted, Manhunt, Deathmatch, and Artifact Assault. The content included in the beta, is as always, only a sample of what the final game will offer. Both Deathmatch and Artifact Assault are new to online component of the game. Manhunt and Wanted will be instantly familiar to players of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood.

The game will release on November 15th 2011, in the Collector’s Edition, Animus Version and Standard Version guises. Until the beta becomes available, Ubisoft has seen fit to tide players over with the ‘Universe’ trailer, which you can watch below:
