Asus will make its ROG Phone available for pre-order starting on October 18, starts at $899

It was back in June when Asus announced its ROG Phone aimed at gamers. While you might have forgotten about the phone, it looks like the firm is finally ready to start getting it into the hands of consumers by offering it up for pre-order.

Although a release date has not been made available, Asus will allow those that are interested, a chance to pre-order the phone starting on October 18. The company will also hold a launch event at the Microsoft Store on Fifth Avenue in New York on the same day, giving folks a chance to learn more about the smartphone or to physically pre-order it. If you aren't in the area or don't want to spend time at the event, you will also be able to pre-order the ROG Phone from the Asus Store and Amazon.

Just as a refresher, the ROG Phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB RAM, and 4,000mAh battery. The 6-inch AMOLED display will come in at a resolution of 2160x1080 and will have a 90Hz refresh rate. It will have a dual camera setup on the rear comprised of 12MP and 8MP sensors, with an 8MP front-facing camera. The phone will start at $899 for the 128GB version and will cost $1,099 for the 512GB version.

Asus will also make various accessories like the Mobile Desktop Dock, TwinView Dock, WiGig Dock, and more available in the following months. You can see the pricing of each accessory below.
