After what may have seemed like an eternity to some, AT&T has finally announced that it will be bringing Microsoft's Lumia 950 to the masses starting on November 17th. The device was first announced alongside its supersized sibling, the Lumia 950 XL, on October 6.
AT&T has priced the handset fairly aggressively at $149 on a two year commitment. Those that would like a monthly payment option instead can choose AT&T's Next plan that will offer the handset as follows: Next 24 (30 months) at $19.97, Next 18 (24 months) at $24.96, Next 12 (20 months) at $29.95. Unfortunately, AT&T will not be offering the Display Dock for free with Lumia 950, but will instead offer the Surface 3 at a discounted rate of $399 with purchase.
Just as a refresher, the Lumia 950 offers:
- 5.2" WQHD AMOLED display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 CPU
- 3GB RAM
- 32GB storage and expandability via microSD
- 20 MP rear camera (video recording up to 4K)
- 8MP front-facing camera
If you are not currently an AT&T customer or have no intention of signing up, Microsoft will offer an unlocked version of the device at its stores and online. The handset can also be purchased through various third party vendors. The Lumia 950 will be available online from AT&T on November 17th and will arrive in stores on November 20th.
