Awesome Games Done Quick raises $2.4 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation

Awesome Games Done Quick, the winter edition of the twice-yearly Games Done Quick events, came to a close last night. In total, the event raised $2.4 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation, an increase of $150,000 dollars over last year's donations. The total amount marks a personal best for the charity event.

The seven-day event sees speedrunners from across the world attempting to beat speedrun records. In total, 132 games were attempted this year and the range of games spans everything from the early 1980s to the modern day.

The event was streamed on Twitch, and individual videos with attempts at different games have been uploaded. You can also check out a dedicated Reddit thread to see the list of games and click on the timestamp of any you may be interested in. If that isn't quite what you're into, the finale awaits below.

Games Done Quick will return on June 23 for another week in Bloomington, Minnesota at Summer Games Done Quick. As always, another way to help raise money for charity whilst also bagging yourself a few games is through the Humble Bundle.
