Azure Quantum is now available in limited preview

Back in December of 2017, Microsoft released a preview of its Quantum Development Kit, while last year the firm collaborated with Brilliant to provide an interactive course on quantum computing. More recently, researchers from the company have managed to tackle two 20 year-old problems in quantum computing, as such taking a big step forward in the field.

At its Build virtual conference, the company has announced that Azure Quantum, its full-stack open cloud ecosystem that unites quantum software, solutions, and hardware, is now available in limited preview. This will enable select people to build programs and skills in order to leverage quantum computing for solving various business challenges.

In addition, for developers interested in “becoming quantum-ready”, there are new learning modules available for free via Microsoft Learn, covering programming in Q# and the aforementioned Quantum Development Kit.
