Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition getting boxed release?

RPG fans everywhere are excited about Overhaul Games' Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, but some hardcore fans are upset that the game has been announced as a digital-only release. Lo and behold, there is hope! Overhaul's own (former BioWare director) Trent Oster says via Twitter that they're looking into releasing a boxed copy of the game.

Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition features all of the content and gameplay that made the original a favorite, along with a host of graphical, technical and gameplay improvements. Using an overhauled version of BioWare's legendary Infinity Engine, Overhaul Games is going to be releasing the game on Windows, iOS and OS X.

What's even cooler is that the game will let players experience it in multiplatform multiplayer, which means that Windows players can join in with someone on an iPad for a good old fashioned Gibberling slaughterfest. Sounds like fun!
