Thousands lined up today outside of the Microsoft Store for the grand opening and Miley Cyrus tickets. Hundreds began lining up last night for the grand opening, which quickly turned into over 6,700 people just to be the first group of people to walk into the store.

This morning, Steve Ballmer showed up for the ribbon cutting, as the store was finally unveiled when the curtain dropped. Ballmer was there to greet everyone into the store, taking photos and chatting with eager customers waiting outside.

This is Microsoft's fifth store opening this year and third store opening this month. The Bellevue Square store now joins other stores in Mall of America (Bloomington, Minnesota),  Oakbrook Center (Oak Brook, Illinois), Fashion Valley Mall (San Diego, California), Park Meadows Mall (Lone Tree, Colorado), The Shops at Mission Viejo (Mission Viejo, California) and Scottsdale Fashion Square (Scottsdale, Arizona).

The store will feature all of Microsoft's software and hardware products, including a variety of Windows Phone 7, Xbox 360, Kinect, Windows 7, Office 2010, laptop computers and many other products.

Celebrations will continue throughout the weekend, including world champion short-track speedskater Apolo Anton Ohno on Friday and a concert performance from Miley Cyrus on Saturday.
