Beat Saber will be on Oculus Quest as a launch title

Oculus announced today that one of the most popular experiences in the VR space Beat Saber will be available on its upcoming wireless all-in-one virtual reality headset Oculus Quest as a launch title.

The rhythm title has sold over a million copies across PC and PlayStation VR systems since its launch last year, and Oculus managing to offer it as a launch title on the Quest is a rather major addition. When Oculus announced the Quest last year, it said that over 50 games will be playable right off the bat on the standalone headset, name dropping Robo Recall, The Climb, and Moss.

Regarding the extra freedom of movement the Oculus Quest will give to Beat Saber players over other platforms, the developer's head of marketing Michaela Dvora said:

“You can easily add that extra dance move, and that feeling when you don't have to watch out for any cables is priceless. I’m a big fan of Rift, but Beat Saber on Quest is a whole new level of experience! Visuals look absolutely stunning, gameplay is smooth and polished, and tracking is just great."

Oculus hasn't announced a firm release date for Oculus Quest yet, but it is planned to arrive sometime this spring with a $399 price tag.
