May this never happen to Neowin! :S Really tho, it is sad to see all of the "Prime" sites closing down, if they are not closing they are becoming a pop-up hell. Neowin was conceived on the foundations of these great sites, while we simply lurk in their shadows, these mighty mothers are our birth-right - ED.
Excerpt from the statement: "Beta Bites will be shutting down officially. Beta Bites has been online for almost four years. After Maximum PC dropped their online program as well as the affiliate network without even a hint it was going to happen, Beta Bites was left without any paid advertising. The internet at that time was taking a dive in online advertising, and although, BB tried to secure paid advertising, we were unsuccessful. We had to go to a banner/button system where the reader must actually purchase the goods for us to be paid. You know as well as I do, few people do this anymore. I had no income coming in so I had to retreat to going back to work outside the home full-time.
Trying to work full-time on BB and full-time at work was just too much for me without more staff. I have been working seven days a week for over a year now, and seriously, I am tired of it. I love working on BB, and doing the news. I really liked previewing products, but it got to the point where I had no time. Beta Bites was no longer able to do or print what it once did."
