Both Amnesia horror games are free to claim on the Humble Store

The Humble Store just began its Winter Sale Encore, bringing back deals from previous weeks for one last hurrah, and as an added bonus, the store is hosting another giveaway. This time on offer is the Amnesia Collection, which comes with both games in the horror series, Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs.

Developed by Frictional Games and released back in 2010, Amnesia: The Dark Descent went on to become highly regarded in the horror genre. Thanks to the popularity, aspects of the game, such as relying primarily on stealth to avoid dangers, and not giving the player any weapons to defend themselves, became a prevalent mechanic in the genre.

Meanwhile, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs arrived back in 2013 as an indirect sequel to the original. Although set in the same universe, the game has an entirely new setting, and Frictional Games served as the publisher this time around, with the now defunct studio, The Chinese Room, taking over development duties. The game was not received as well as Dark Descent, but is still an experience that horror fans shouldn't skip out on.

The Amnesia Collection normally costs $34.99, but it is completely free to claim on the Humble Store for the next two days. The game arrives as a Steam key, and it is playable on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
